and 4 degrees warmer than the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 52 in the West to 49
in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 3 degrees warmer than normal in the West
to 1 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 37 degrees in the West
to 42 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 8 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 15 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 56 degrees at CARBONDALE ASOS and the extreme low was 32 degrees at BRANDENBURG 4SW.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 0.51 inches statewide which was 0.38 inches above normal
and 378% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 0.35 inches, Central 0.58 inches,
Bluegrass 0.49 inches and East 0.61 inches, which was 0.21, 0.43, 0.37 and 0.48 inches above normal.
