Plenty of low clouds and some fog will linger overnight before high 
pressure brings dry and unseasonably warm weather Thursday. A pair 
of low pressure systems will cross the Great Lakes Friday through 
Saturday with periods of rain, ending as some light snow Sunday as 
more seasonable temperatures move back into the eastern Great Lakes.

Across New York...temperatures are near 40 degrees west, near 38 degrees central, and near 50 degrees east. Current sky conditions are light rain west, drizzle central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 76%, and the dew point is near 33 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. Winds are coming from the west at 6 mph in the west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Winds are coming from the west at 9 mph in the central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to drizzle. The wind chill is near 31 degrees central. Winds are coming from the southeast at 7 mph in the east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 53 degrees at Plattsburgh. The lowest temperature is 35 degrees at Penn Yan.
