Across Georgia...temperatures are near 71 degrees north, near 73 degrees central, and near 73 degrees south. Current sky conditions are cloudy north, cloudy central, and cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 69 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 72 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 72 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress north, no stress central, and no stress south. Winds are from the southwest at 8 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying.  DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Wednesday through Monday  

Daily thunderstorm chances will last continue through most of 
next week. A few storms could become strong to severe and bring 
the risk for heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.

Heavier rainfall will be possible by the end of the week as
tropical moisture overspreads the region. Some flooding and flash
flooding will be possible, though there is still uncertainty on
the exact timing and locations of the highest threats.

A tornado traveled more than 200 miles across the state of Iowa killing 130
persons. The tornado touched down about ninety miles west of Grinnell, and
struck the town and college around sunset, killing sixty persons, and
causing more than half a million dollars damage. Traveling at nearly 60
mph, the tornado hit Mount Pleasant about 11 PM causing another half a
