Temperatures for the period averaged 60.3 degrees across the state which was 3.4 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 72.3 in the West to 69.7 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 1.8 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0.3 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 62.6 degrees in the West to 48.0 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 15.3 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 6.1 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 89.1 at Harlan county and the extreme low was 20.3 at Lewis county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 9.77 inches statewide which was 0.79 inches above normal and 108.8% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 11.14 inches, Central 10.56 inches, Bluegrass 9.18 inches and East 8.21 inches, which was 1.29, 1.26, 0.93 and -0.32 inches respectively from normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 5.91 inches at Owsley county to a high of 14.98 inches at Trigg county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 49.5 degrees.
