Temperatures for the period averaged 47.8 degrees across the state which was 3.2 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 59.0 in the West to 57.5 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 2.6 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 1.5 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 47.1 degrees in the West to 36.6 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 11.4 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 4.7 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 89.1 at Harlan county and the extreme low was -14.1 at Cumberland county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 23.12 inches statewide which was 2.04 inches below normal and 91.9% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 22.87 inches, Central 24.41 inches, Bluegrass 22.51 inches and East 22.67 inches, which was -4.60, -2.24, 0.16 and -1.49 inches respectively from normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 19.91 inches at Knott county to a high of 28.98 inches at Clinton county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 38.5 degrees.
