Temperatures for the period averaged 67 degrees across the state which was 5 degrees warmer than normal
and 8 degrees cooler than the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 77 in the West to 75
in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 1 degrees warmer than normal in the West
to 1 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 59 degrees in the West
to 59 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 8 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 11 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 99 degrees at MADISONVILLE 4S and the extreme low was 31 degrees at CYNTHIANA 8N.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 6.38 inches statewide which was 3 inches above normal
and 189% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 5.44 inches, Central 7.37 inches,
Bluegrass 6.14 inches and East 6.59 inches, which was 1.98, 3.79, 3 and 3.25 inches above normal.
By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 1.72 inches at OWENSBORO AWSS to a high of 11.01
inches at MUNFORDVILLE 6E.
