.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure allowed temperatures to return to near normal today. 
Expect a slight warm up over the weekend, with temperatures reaching 
into the upper 60s in the warmest locations Sunday. A number of weak 
shortwaves will pass over Vermont and Northern New York during the 
forecast period, with widespread, light precipitation in the 
forecast over the weekend and beyond.

Across Vermont...temperatures are near 36 degrees north, near 37 degrees central, and near 39 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 65%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 59%, and the dew point is near 24 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 57%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. Winds are calm north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 3 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 3 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 43 degrees at Highland. The lowest temperature is 34 degrees at Morrisville.

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than
