High pressure will weaken tonight and give way to a warm front
arriving from the southwest by Saturday morning. A low pressure 
system will move along this warm front during Saturday into 
Saturday night. The warm front should move southward toward South
Carolina and Georgia by Sunday morning. Another storm system
should approach from the west by early next week.

Across Virginia...temperatures are near 33 degrees north, near 37 degrees central, and near 42 degrees south. Current sky conditions are fair north, fair central, and fair south. In the north, relative humidity is near 43%, and the dew point is near 13 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 38%, and the dew point is near 14 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 29%, and the dew point is near 12 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 7 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 5 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 43 degrees at Norfolk. The lowest temperature is FAIR degrees at Roanoke.

Historical Weather And Climate Facts For Today

A winter storm in southwestern and central Tennessee produced 26 inches of
snow at Riddleton, and 18.5 inches at Memphis. It was the deepest snow of
record for those areas. (David Ludlum)

The temperature at Snake River WY dipped to 50 degrees below zero, a record
for the U.S. for the month of March. (Sandra and TI Richard Sanders - 1987)
A powerful spring storm produced severe thunderstorms over the Central Gulf
Coast States, and heavy snow in the High Plains Region. A tornado caused
three million dollars damage at Natchez MS, and six inches of rain in five
hours caused five million dollars damage at Vicksburg MS. Cactus TX
received 10 inches of snow. Western Kansas reported blizzard conditions.
