Low pressure over the lower Ohio and Tennessee Valleys will
cross over the central Appalachians today, sparking the
development of a coastal storm tonight and Wednesday that will
turn into a winter storm as it moves northeast along the Mid
Atlantic and New England Coast. Heavy snow is expected for
the mountains along and west of the Blue Ridge tonight
and Wednesday. Winds will increase in the wake of this
storm followed by High pressure Thursday into Friday,
temperatures below normal.

In the south, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. There is patchy fog north and central. Winds are from the northeast at 15 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and sleet. The wind chill is near 23 degrees north. Winds are from the north at 18 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain.
