.FORECAST SUMMARY...
A wedge of high pressure will keep clouds and occasional rain 
showers or drizzle in the area through Saturday. Dry conditions 
and very warm temperatures return for the end of the weekend and
remain into much of next week. Chances for rain increase by the
middle of next week with a frontal passage. Additional 
scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible, mainly in 
the afternoon hours each day for the remainder of the work week.

Across Virginia...temperatures are near 62 degrees north, near 60 degrees central, and near 65 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly sunny north, mostly cloudy central, and mostly sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 36%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 42%, and the dew point is near 37 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 54%, and the dew point is near 48 degrees. Winds are from the south at 10 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 6 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 65 degrees at Danville. The lowest temperature is MOCLDY degrees at Roanoke.

produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
