High pressure, for the most part, will remain in control overnight.
The center of the sfc high will reach eastern TN by 12z. So, still
another rather cold night for late March. Min temps will drop below
freezing in our northern Plateau. For that reason, will allow the
current freeze advisory to continue as planned. Elsewhere, temps
should hold to just above freezing. There is some cloud coverage
upstream that will be making its way toward the cwa tonight. We
already see a batch of cloudiness just now entering far northwestern
TN. The increasing cloudiness trend should continue.

Tomorrow will bring about the beginning of some changes. A warm
front will begin to lift northward during the day. This feature
will strengthen through Friday and thus, rainshower chances will
be on the increase. The boundary wont make much progress northward
before it begins to sag southward over the weekend. A stronger
sfc low will then move along it with rain chances on the increase
by Saturday. Instability looks marginal at best and will be
elevated. Will only include a slt chance of T, otw showers will be
the prevailing precip type. As for qpf amounts, though Saturday
night we will see perhaps one half to 1 inch across the north,
with one quarter to one half inch south.

In the extended forecast, the first half of the period through Tue
is not looking too bad. A frontal boundary will take its time but
will be on approach. The 2nd half of the period, however, is looking
rather wet as that slow moving frontal boundary reaches optimal
proximity and becomes parallel to the upper flow. A deep upper low
over the southwestern U.S. will then be ejecting several
impulses northeastward along the nearly stationary boundary. With
forcing being on a continuum, unsettled wet conditions will
persist and round out the extended period, Wed through Friday.

For the ext temps, it will be rather seasonal initially. But,
milder overnight lows will prevail as that aforementioned boundary
slowly moves our way from the north.
