Across Tennessee...temperatures are near 64 degrees west, near 54 degrees central, and near 50 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, fair central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 23%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 31%, and the dew point is near 24 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 34%, and the dew point is near 23 degrees. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the north at 10 mph with gusts at 24 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 65 degrees at Memphis NWS. The lowest temperature is 45 degrees at Tri Cities and Crossville.

A spectactular display of the Northern Lights was visible as far south as
Bradenton FL, El Paso TX, and Fresno CA. At Detroit MI, the display was
described "so brilliant as to blot out all stars below first magnitude".
