A low pressure system will bring a mixed bag of rain, freezing
rain, sleet and snow to eastern Montana, North Dakota and northern
South Dakota tonight into Friday and then across the eastern 
Dakotas and Minnesota into Friday night. This system may impact 
travel with light to moderate snow accumulations possible along 
the International Border late tonight through Friday, and icy 
roadways farther south mostly after midnight tonight through 
Friday morning. If you have travel plans tonight through Friday, 
be sure to check the latest road conditions before you leave. 
Lows tonight will range from the single digits and teens over 
Minnesota, to the mid and upper 20s west. Highs Friday will range 
from the 30s north to 40s south. 

Another system moves through the region late Saturday through 
Sunday, this system looks to be tracking west to east across 
South Dakota and possibly into southern North Dakota with mainly 
snow north and rain south. Late in the weekend and into early next
week another system may impact the Central Plains and southern 
portions of the Northern Plains. Be sure to keep up to date withe 
the latest forecasts through the Holiday Weekend.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in South Dakota

Across South Dakota...temperatures are near 34 degrees west, near 38 degrees central, and near 37 degrees east. Current sky conditions are not available west, mostly cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 82%, and the dew point is near 29 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 79%, and the dew point is near 32 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 67%, and the dew point is near 27 degrees. Winds are from the southwest at 3 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to not available. Winds are from the southeast at 22 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 15 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 40 degrees at PINE RIDGE. The lowest temperature is 23 degrees at SISSETON.

 DAY ONE  Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

The next system of interest looks to be on Sunday and Monday as low
pressure moves into the Central Plains. Right now it looks like rain
and snow are both possible with the better chance for snow north of 
a Platte South Dakota to Windom Minnesota line. 

A weaker system may bring some patchy light rain or light freezing
rain Thursday night into Friday morning near and north of a Huron to
Marshall Minnesota line.
