work week. High temperatures will struggle to rise above freezing
Thursday and Friday. Medium to high chances for accumulating snow
will cross the region from northwest to southeast Wednesday night
through Thursday, with a continued cool and active pattern into 
the weekend. For Saturday through Sunday, snow is likely for most 
locations.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

The grassland fire danger will be in the extreme category today 
as northerly winds gust to around 40 mph across the area late this
morning and afternoon. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Tuesday through Sunday

Colder and unsettled weather will gradually develop late this week
and over the weekend. There will be chances for light rain and 
snow at times Wednesday through Friday, with snow accumulations up
to around an inch possible Wednesday into Wednesday night across 
far northwest South Dakota. The best chances for mainly snow are 
expected over the weekend. Accumulating snow is possible over the 
weekend, with potential impacts to travel.
