Widespread highs in the 70s are expected today, with increasing 
chances for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into 
tonight. An isolated strong to severe storm is possible, mainly 
in western South Dakota. The weather will then trend cooler for 
the end of the work week and into the weekend, with continued 
decent chances for measurable rainfall Friday through Sunday for 
most areas.

Winds are unavailable central. Winds are from the south at 20 mph with gusts at 31 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Showers and storms are expected this evening and night. Storms are 
not expected to be severe but look to bring beneficial rainfall 
between a quarter to three quarters of an inch, highest over 
northwest Iowa.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

Strong to severe storms are possible on Friday. The main risk area is
northwest Iowa.
