Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
454 PM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

A few showers will occur tonight into Wednesday as a series of
strong cold fronts move to the south and east of the Keystone
state.

Dry weather is expected for Thursday into Friday, as high pressure
builds into the region.

A damaging freeze is expected Wednesday night across much of the
area. Southeastern Pennsylvania will have temperatures mainly
above freezing Wednesday night, as winds stay up. While Thursday
night will be a bit milder, lighter winds will aid in the
formation of frost.

Much warmer weather will prevail for the upcoming weekend, as a
series of low pressure systems track to the west of the mountains.

Lows tonight will be mainly in the 40s. Highs on Wednesday will
range from the 40s across the northwest, to the 50s and 60s across
the south and east. However, temperatures will likely drop during
the mid to late afternoon hours. Lows Wednesday night will drop
well into the 20s across the north. Southeastern portions of the
Keystone state will have the best chance to stay above freezing.

High temperatures on Thursday will be mainly only in the 50s. Lows
Thursday night will be mainly in the 30s, with the warmest
readings across the far west.
