Scattered showers will gradually end from west to east through the 
rest of today as weak high pressure briefly builds into the eastern 
Great Lakes. A cold front will move east across the area Friday, 
bringing another round of gusty showers to the region. There will be 
one more round of scattered showers Saturday afternoon, then dry 
weather will return for Sunday. The weekend will be quite cool with 
a stretch of below average temperatures.

Across New York...temperatures are near 52 degrees west, near 50 degrees central, and near 46 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 48 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 79%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. Winds are coming from the southwest at 14 mph in the west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are coming from the northeast at 6 mph in the central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are coming from the northeast at 23 mph in the east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 64 degrees at Elmira. The lowest temperature is 44 degrees at White Plains, Saranac Lake, Plattsburgh, Montgomery, and Islip.
