In the north, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 39 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near %, and the dew point is near degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. Winds are calm north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are unavailable central. Winds are from the northwest at 8 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 51 degrees at MANCHESTER. The lowest temperature is MOSUNNY degrees at MT WASHINGTON.

Thane Creek AK reported a snow cover of 190 inches. (The Weather Channel)

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
