Across Nebraska...temperatures are near 62 degrees west, near 61 degrees central, and near 51 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny west, cloudy central, and rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 69%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 70%, and the dew point is near 51 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. Winds are from the south at 18 mph with gusts at 25 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 21 mph with gusts at 28 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 15 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 68 degrees at CHADRON. The lowest temperature is 47 degrees at ALBION.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For OTOE County, Nebraska

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight

Thunderstorms will become widespread tonight with isolated 
occurrences of hail up to one-inch in diameter, wind gusts to 60 
mph, and localized flooding possible. The best chance for severe
weather appears to be across eastern Nebraska, and from 10 pm 
through 4 am. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

Severe weather is likely across much of eastern Nebraska and
southwest Iowa on Friday afternoon and evening. All hazards are
possible, including hail up to three inches in diameter, a few 
strong tornadoes, and thunderstorm winds up to 70 mph. Much of
eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa are in an enhanced risk of
severe weather. The best timeframe for severe storms should be
from 3 pm through 10 pm. Be prepared to implement severe weather
safety plans on Friday afternoon and evening. 


Another round of severe weather is likely late Saturday afternoon
into Saturday night, especially along and south of I-80. Again, all
severe hazards are possible, including hail up to three inches in
diameter, a few strong tornadoes, and thunderstorm winds up to 70
mph. 

Severe weather is again possible Sunday afternoon into evening in
parts of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Hail up to 
quarter size and thunderstorm winds up to 60 mph are the main 
hazards.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation will likely be required on both Friday and 
Saturday afternoons and evenings.
