.KEY MESSAGES...

- Severe storms and widespread rain are possible once again 
  tonight, with quarter- sized hail and damaging wind gusts 
  become possible from midnight through 6 AM along and south of 
  I-80.

- Cooler temperatures continue through the weekend, with 
  morning lows dropping below freezing in many areas Friday, 
  Saturday, and Sunday mornings.

- Another chance for showers and thunderstorms Monday, then 
  warming temperatures next week.

Across Nebraska...temperatures are near 34 degrees west, near 37 degrees central, and near 56 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, thunderstorms central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 37 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 58%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. Winds are from the north at 6 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 29 degrees west. Winds are from the north at 22 mph with gusts at 33 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and thunderstorms. The wind chill is near 26 degrees central. Winds are from the north at 9 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 58 degrees at FALLS CITY. The lowest temperature is RAIN degrees at OGALLALA and NORFOLK.

 DAY ONE  Tonight.

Northerly winds may gust 35 to 45 mph south of Hwy 92 this evening
through tonight. Thunderstorms may also enhance winds with potential
for isolated wind damage, and some small hail with isolated hail to 
1 inch in diameter this evening.


 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Thursday through Tuesday.

There is potential for a light accumulation of snow Friday night 
into Saturday morning mainly along and south of Highway 2 toward
southwestern Nebraska.
