.KEY MESSAGES...
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop
across northeast Nebraska and western Iowa this afternoon. A
few strong storms with gusty winds, small hail, and a brief
tornado will be possible.
- Scattered showers are expected to develop tomorrow across the
region bringing a 20 to 40 percent chance of rain at any given
location.
- Precipitation chances return by the beginning of next week
with several rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible
Sunday evening through the end of the forecast period.

In the west, relative humidity is near 50%, and the dew point is near 37 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 47%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 29%, and the dew point is near 43 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress west, no stress central, and no stress east. Winds are from the northwest at 15 mph with gusts at 26 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon into this
evening for areas along and north of a line from Ord to Osceola.
Severe thunderstorms are not expected.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Thursday through Tuesday.
Thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening across
portions of central Nebraska. Additional thunderstorms are
possible Saturday evening through Tuesday night across portions of
the outlook area. However, severe weather is currently not
expected through the remainder of the outlook period.
