Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy north, partly cloudy central, and mostly cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 61%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 7 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Weather hazards expectedLimited lightning risk. DISCUSSION Scattered thunderstorms will be possible over southeastern Kansas into far southwestern Missouri late tonight into Thursday morning. Cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall will be the main risk with the storms. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Thursday through Tuesday. Showers and scattered non-severe thunderstorms will continue to develop and more across the area on Thursday. Multiple rounds of storms will continue to track across the region at times from Friday into Sunday night. There will be the potential for severe weather with the storms Friday through the weekend. Heavy rainfall will also be possible with the storms and could lead to a localized flooding risk through the weekend.
