Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Missouri
Based on observations at 800am CDT, Thursday April 25, 2024

Across Missouri...temperatures are near 48 degrees north, near 50 degrees central, and near 53 degrees south. Current sky conditions are mostly sunny north, cloudy central, and cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 76%, and the dew point is near 41 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 71%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph with gusts at 21 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the east at 8 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the east at 7 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 57 degrees at Joplin. The lowest temperature is 47 degrees at Spirit of St. Louis and Rolla.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For ST CLAIR County,MO

448 AM CDT Thu Apr 25 2024

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected  

  Limited hail risk.
  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Elevated lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION  

Scattered thunderstorms are currently developing across the area
as of 4:30 AM. These are showing signs of developing small hail up
to the size of quarters. These should stay west of Hwy 65.

As the day goes on, more widespread moderate/heavy rain with 
embedded thunderstorms will develop. Excessive rainfall is 
possible bringing the potential of areal flooding, especially 
south of Hwy 160 and west of Hwy 65. Rain/thunderstorm chances 
will diminish tonight.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

Multiple rounds of storms will continue to track across the 
region at times from Friday into Sunday night. There will be the 
potential for severe weather with the storms Friday through the 
weekend. There is currently a Slight (2/5) risk for severe weather
Friday and Saturday with an Enhanced (3/5) risk for our Kansas
counties Saturday. All hazards will be possible each severe day.

Heavy rainfall will also be possible with the storms and could 
lead to a localized flooding risk through the weekend. Portions of
our CWA are in a Slight (2/4) risk for excessive rainfall and
flooding through Sunday.
