Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Missouri
Based on observations at 700am CDT, Friday April 19, 2024

Across Missouri...temperatures are near 35 degrees north, near 45 degrees central, and near 49 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly cloudy north, clear central, and mostly cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 88%, and the dew point is near 32 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 70%, and the dew point is near 36 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 39 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 3 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northwest at 5 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the north at 12 mph with gusts at 20 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 49 degrees at West Plains. The lowest temperature is 35 degrees at Kirksville.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected  

 Elevated fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION  

Northerly winds and low humidity will create elevated fire 
conditions this afternoon in areas with remaining dormant 
vegetation.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday.

Patchy frost will be possible Sunday morning across central 
Missouri. Frost could be more widespread Monday morning if winds 
are light enough however confidence remains low at this time.

There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms
Monday night into Tuesday and again late in the week. Severe
thunderstorms are not expected at this time.
