High pressure will continue to build over the region today. As 
winds turn to the southwest on Saturday a warming trend can be 
expected over the weekend into early next week. A weak front 
will bring a few showers Saturday night into Sunday. Monday will
be warm away from the coast, with cooler temperatures along the
coast where an onshore flow of cooler air will develop. Expect 
a better chance of showers on Tuesday along with cooler
temperatures.

Across Maine...temperatures are near 28 degrees north, near 27 degrees central, and near 22 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 58%, and the dew point is near 15 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 78%, and the dew point is near 21 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 92%, and the dew point is near 20 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 8 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northwest at 3 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 28 degrees at Waterville, Caribou, and Bar Harbor. The lowest temperature is 20 degrees at Presque Isle and Fryeburg.

produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
