through Monday. More seasonable temperatures and continued dry

Across Massachusetts...temperatures are near 41 degrees west, near 53 degrees central, and near 45 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and light rain east. In the west, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 39 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 79%, and the dew point is near 47 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 100%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. There is patchy fog east. Winds are from the northwest at 9 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northwest at 7 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 5 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 1450 degrees at NAntucket. The lowest temperature is 41 degrees at Pittsfield.

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
