.DISCUSSION...
An enhanced pressure gradient between a low across Oklahoma and a
surface high over the east coast will maintain an enhanced
pressure gradient tonight with wind speeds continuing around 20
mph with higher gusts. Therefore a lake wind advisory remains in
effect. Additionally, showers to increase in coverage from the 
west as front eases eastward. For this update went ahead and 
extended pops slightly farther east across Toledo Bend into west 
central Louisiana to account for latest radar trends. /05/

Based on observations at 900pm CST, Monday February 19, 2018

Across Louisiana...temperatures are near 73 degrees south. Current sky condition is mostly cloudy south. In the south, relative humidity is near 90%, and the dew point is near 70 degrees. Winds are unavailable north. Winds are unavailable central. Winds are coming from the southeast at 12 mph in the south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The livestock cold stress index is in the unavailable category north, unavailable category central, and no stress category south. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 73 degrees at New Orleans Lakefront and N.O. INTL ARPT. The lowest temperature is 70 degrees at Houma and Baton Rouge.

 DAY ONE  Tonight and Tuesday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Tuesday night through Sunday

Flash flooding and river flooding are possible across southeast 
Arkansas, portions of northeast Louisiana, and the Mississippi 
Delta Wednesday into Thursday and again this weekend. Total 
rainfall of two to four inches is expected, with locally higher 
amounts possible.

The activation of storm spotters, HAM radio operators, and
emergency management personnel in support of severe weather
operations is not expected through next Sunday.
