We get a lot of active weather down here in the south. Between the
active weather I usually take the calm weather for granted. I am
more consciously grateful now for calm weather. And that is just
what we have, calm weather. No major changes are needed to be made
to the forecast for tonight.

Across Louisiana...temperatures are near 55 degrees south. Current sky condition is clear south. In the south, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 51 degrees. Winds are unavailable north. Winds are unavailable central. Winds are calm in the south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 62 degrees at New Orleans Lakefront. The lowest temperature is 49 degrees at Slidell.

 DAY ONE  This afternoon and tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

We can expect a nice warming trend through the Easter weekend.
Temperatures will peak on Monday ahead of our next cool front early 
on Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms will bring the first rain to 
the new month early next week. The Storm Prediction Center has a 
Slight Risk outlook for day 5 for Monday daybreak to Tuesday 
daybreak. This area extends from Dallas to Indianapolis and drapes 
across our I-30 corridor. No other hazardous weather is expected at 
this time.
