Gusty west winds across area as dryline has pushed east. VFR skc
this aftn, except for possible high mvfr to low vfr cigs at keld
and kmlu until near 19/20z. Gusts to near 35 kts possible at 
ktxk, with gusts of 25 to 30 kts likely areawide this aftn. Winds 
to remain 10 to 15 kts overnight. Wraparound stratocu decks may 
become low vfr cigs at times at mainly ktxk, keld, and kmlu btwn 
20/06-15z. NE TX terminals likely to remain skc thru 20/18z fcst
cycle. Winds becmg nw with reinforcing cold front and increase to 
15 to 20 kts across most of area by 20/15z./07/

Across Louisiana...temperatures are near 82 degrees south. Current sky condition is fair south. In the south, relative humidity is near 71%, and the dew point is near 72 degrees. Winds are unavailable north. Winds are unavailable central. Winds are coming from the west at 15 mph with gusts at 25 mph in the south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 82 degrees at N.O. INTL ARPT. The lowest temperature is 74 degrees at New Orleans Lakefront.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For ALLEN County, LA

459 AM CDT Mon Mar 19 2018

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight
Patchy fog this morning will have the potential to reduce
visibilities to below one mile in a few locations. However,
visibilities between 2 and 3 miles will be more common with the
fog lifting by mid morning.

A cold front will move through the area this morning accompanied
by another round of isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms. Precipitation will come to an end across southeast
Texas by mid morning, southwest Louisiana by around noon and
across acadiana by early afternoon. Rainfall accumulations of
around a tenth of an inch can be expected with higher amounts
possible in more isolated heavy rain producing storms.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Tuesday through Sunday
A second, dry cold front will quickly swing through the area early
Tuesday morning turning and increasing winds out of the north at
around 15 MPH with gusts of 20 to 25 MPH possible.

Precipitation appears likely to return Saturday into Sunday
although overall confidence is low due to guidance 
inconsistencies. This will become better resolved as the week

Spotter activation is not anticipated.

Historical Weather And Climate Facts For Today

Timberline Lodge reported 246 inches of snow on the ground, a record for
the state of Oregon. (The Weather Channel)
Suffocating dust storms occurred frequently in southeastern Colorado
between the 12th and the 25th of the month. Six people died, and many
livestock starved or suffocated. Up to six feet of dust covered the ground.
