Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 700am CDT, Tuesday April 23, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 42 degrees west, near 53 degrees central, and near 52 degrees east. Current sky conditions are clear west, mostly cloudy central, and clear east. In the west, relative humidity is near 76%, and the dew point is near 35 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. Winds are from the north at 13 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 13 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the north at 8 mph east, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 58 degrees at Chanute. The lowest temperature is 42 degrees at Goodland.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

A slight chance for a thunderstorm exists across far southeast
Kansas this morning.

Very high grassland fire danger is possible across portions of
central Kansas this afternoon.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Wednesday through Monday

An active weather pattern will arrive from Wednesday night into the
weekend. Severe storms will be possible beginning on Thursday 
evening and night with some severe storms lingering into the
beginning of the weekend. Stay tuned for the latest updates as the 
weekend approaches.

Very high grassland fire danger is expected on Friday across central
and portions of south-central Kansas.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT
