Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 1000am CDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 51 degrees west, near 72 degrees central, and near 71 degrees east. Current sky conditions are light rain west, mostly sunny central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 92%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 66%, and the dew point is near 60 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 65 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 22 mph with gusts at 29 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Winds are from the south at 32 mph with gusts at 47 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 23 mph with gusts at 30 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 75 degrees at Medicine Lodge. The lowest temperature is 51 degrees at Goodland.

 DAY ONE  TODAY AND TONIGHT  

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY  

There is a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms over much of the
region Saturday afternoon and evening. Threats do include large hail,
damaging winds and even tornadoes. Please stay tuned for further
updates.

Killer frosts were reported in the Deep South. The frost was quite severe
around Huntsville AL, and highlighted a backward spring in the South that

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than

Severe thunderstorms associated with an intense cyclone spawned a total of
forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
