Severe weather is expected today across a majority of the area. The severe threat is forecast to begin around two in the afternoon and last until midnight. The main hazards remain very large hail and tornadoes, potentially including significant tornadoes. Damaging wind gusts are possible as well. There is a twenty percent chance that a cap or other environmental factor prevents storms from forming or becoming severe.
