Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 56 degrees west, near 62 degrees central, and near 57 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 54 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 72%, and the dew point is near 53 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 72%, and the dew point is near 48 degrees. Winds are from the southeast at 12 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 10 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph with gusts at 25 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 66 degrees at Liberal. The lowest temperature is 51 degrees at Olathe Exe.

 DAY ONE  TODAY AND TONIGHT  

Patchy dense fog is possible this morning.

Severe weather is expected today across a majority of the area.
The severe threat is forecast to begin around two in the afternoon 
and last until midnight. The main hazards remain very large hail and
tornadoes, potentially including significant tornadoes. Damaging 
wind gusts are possible as well. There is a twenty percent chance 
that a cap or other environmental factor prevents storms from 
forming or becoming severe.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY  

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
