Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Kansas
Based on observations at 600pm CDT, Friday April 26, 2024

Across Kansas...temperatures are near 70 degrees west, near 83 degrees central, and near 76 degrees east. Current sky conditions are sunny west, mostly sunny central, and mostly sunny east. In the west, relative humidity is near 37%, and the dew point is near 43 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 26%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 40%, and the dew point is near 50 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 14 mph with gusts at 28 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 20 mph with gusts at 28 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the west at 24 mph with gusts at 41 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 86 degrees at Winfield and Medicine Lodge. The lowest temperature is 67 degrees at Chanute.

 DAY ONE  Tonight

Areas east of the Flint Hills will remain under a strong chance for
thunderstorms, some of them severe with large hail and a tornado or
two are possible this evening

Tonight, the thunderstorm threat will diminish and end. Hazardous
weather will come to an end by 9 PM tonight. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Severe storms are possible on Saturday. There is also the potential
for localized flooding where training thunderstorms occur.

Thunderstorm chances may linger across far southeast Kansas on
Sunday. Additional storm chances are possible Tuesday and
Wednesday.

Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe, then some thunderstorms may be severe with heavy rainfall. Breezy with highs around 80. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail

Severe thunderstorms associated with an intense cyclone spawned a total of
forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
