Across Kansas...temperatures are near 54 degrees west, near 59 degrees central, and near 61 degrees east. Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 52 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 83%, and the dew point is near 56 degrees. Winds are from the north at 12 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southeast at 20 mph with gusts at 32 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 26 mph with gusts at 43 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 74 degrees at Medicine Lodge. The lowest temperature is 54 degrees at Goodland.

around Huntsville AL, and highlighted a backward spring in the South that

An unusually strong occluded front swept out of the Gulf of Alaska and
produced the first April thunderstorm of record at Fairbanks. Pea size hail
fell northeast of Fairbanks from thunderstorms whose tops were less than

Severe thunderstorms associated with an intense cyclone spawned a total of
forty-seven tornadoes in two days from Louisiana to Upper Michigan. The
