Across Kansas...temperatures are near 58 degrees west, near 63 degrees central, and near 57 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 56 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 78%, and the dew point is near 56 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 74%, and the dew point is near 49 degrees. There is thunder east. Winds are from the east at 8 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the east at 13 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 15 mph with gusts at 30 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 68 degrees at Liberal and Dodge City. The lowest temperature is 52 degrees at Topeka Forbes, Olathe Ind, and Olathe Exe.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For BUTLER County,KS

910 AM CDT Thu Apr 25 2024 DAY ONE Today and Tonight Strong to severe storms are possible mainly for locations along and east of I-135 this morning into early afternoon. Main concerns will be hail up to quarter-sized, and isolated damaging wind gusts. A second round of strong to severe storms is possible tonight and will last through Friday morning. Main concerns will be up to quarter-sized hail and 60 mph winds. A tornado cannot be ruled out west of US-281 early tonight. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday A conditional risk of isolated severe storms exists Friday afternoon along and east of the Flint Hills. Very high grassland fire danger is expected on Friday across central and portions of south-central Kansas. Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible on Saturday. There is also the potential for localized flooding where training thunderstorms occur. Thunderstorm chances may linger across far southeast Kansas on Sunday. Additional storm chances are possible Tuesday evening. SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
