Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 50 degrees north, near 72 degrees central, and near 79 degrees south. Current sky conditions are rain north, light rain central, and not available south. In the north, relative humidity is near 86%, and the dew point is near 46 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 61 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 62%, and the dew point is near 65 degrees. The heat index is near 81 degrees south. There is patchy fog north. Winds are from the north at 7 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to rain. Winds are calm central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to light rain. Winds are from the south at 16 mph with gusts at 22 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 360/ degrees at Northerly Island. The lowest temperature is 48 degrees at Freeport.

 DAY ONE  Tonight.

Thunderstorms are likely today across most of the area through this
evening. Some of the thunderstorms through early evening may be 
severe, capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and a 
tornado or two.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms over parts of the area on Monday 
night through Tuesday night.
