Weather Summary For Central And Southeast Illinois

Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 38 degrees north, near 49 degrees central, and near 54 degrees south. Current sky conditions are partly sunny north, mostly sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 48%, and the dew point is near 20 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 63%, and the dew point is near 37 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 64%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. Winds are from the east at 7 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. The wind chill is near 33 degrees north. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the southwest at 8 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 58 degrees at Carbondale. The lowest temperature is 36 degrees at Freeport.

mainly west of Interstate 39.
