Low pressure tracking through the mid Mississippi River Valley,
spread a large area of rain, as far north as I-72, by late Monday
afternoon. Farther north, over the remainder of central Illinois,
skies were cloudy. High temperatures were a few degrees above
normal, reaching the mid 50s to lower 60s. However, northeast
winds gusting over 25 MPH, added a chill to the air.

Brisk northeasterly winds will continue as a storm system tracks 
east into the Tennessee Valley, tonight. This will spread rain as
far north as the southern half of Illinois and Indiana. Northerly
flow behind this weather system, will bring cool and dry weather 
to the region, for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Low temperatures tonight will dropped into the mid 20s to mid 30s
across the Midwest, while highs on Tuesday will reach the upper
30s to mid 40s.
