Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 42 degrees north, near 46 degrees central, and near 55 degrees south. Current sky conditions are mostly cloudy north, partly cloudy central, and partly cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 92%, and the dew point is near 40 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 96%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 77%, and the dew point is near 48 degrees. Winds are calm north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the east at 10 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 6 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 270/ degrees at Northerly Island. The lowest temperature is 40 degrees at Rochelle and Aurora.

Thunderstorms are likely today across most of the area. Some of the 
thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening may be severe, 
capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and a tornado or 
two.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms over parts of the area on Monday 
night and Tuesday.
