Cirrus clouds moved across western Illinois this evening, as a
band of rainfall slid through eastern Missouri. Temperatures late
evening were beginning to fall into the 60s.

The dry and seasonable weather pattern will continue through the
remainder of this week and into the weekend. As High pressure
slides toward the East Coast this weekend, temperatures will climb
back into the upper 80s to near 90 by Sunday.

Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to mid 60s. Highs Thursday
will peak in the upper 70s across northeast Indiana, increasing
southwest to the mid 80s in Missouri.

Across Illinois...temperatures are near 56 degrees north, near 64 degrees central, and near 66 degrees south. Current sky conditions are light rain north, partly cloudy central, and mostly cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 97%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 87%, and the dew point is near 60 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 60 degrees. There is patchy fog north. Winds are from the east at 8 mph with gusts at 20 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light rain. Winds are from the southeast at 16 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 13 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. The livestock cold stress index is in the no stress category north, no stress category central, and no stress category south. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 110/ degrees at Northerly Island. The lowest temperature is 54 degrees at Waukegan.

 DAY ONE  THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph will be seen across the area
tonight.

A band of showers, and possibly a couple of thunderstorms, will
move through the area between 7 PM and 3 AM. During the passage 
of this band of convection, brief localized wind gusts up to 50 
mph will be possible.

Right now the most likely area to see brief localized wind gusts
up to 50 mph are generally south of a line from Sterling, Illinois
to Fairfield, Iowa.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Windy conditions will be seen Tuesday through Friday across the
area. Winds may gust up to 35 mph on Tuesday with 30 mph gusts
Wednesday through Friday.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation is not anticipated tonight. Reports of wind
gusts over 40 mph will be appreciated.

A severe storm raged from Georgia to Nova Scotia causing great losses to
fishing fleets along the coast. In Maine, the barometric pressure reached

An early season cold snap finally came to an end. Helena MT experienced 138
consecutive hours of subzero temperatures, including a reading of 29 below
zero, which surpassed by seven degrees their previous record for the month
of November. Missoula MT broke their November record by 12 degrees with a
reading of 23 below zero, and Salt Lake City UT smashed their previous
November record of zero with a reading of 14 below. Heavy snow in the Great
Basin closed Donner Pass CA, and total crop damage from the cold wave

A tornado, 100 yards in width, travelled a nearly "straight as an arrow"
27-mile path from near Rosa AL to near Albertville AL, killing three
persons. A home in the Susan Moore community in Blount County was picked up

The first of two successive snowstorms struck the northeastern U.S. The
storm produced up to 20 inches of snow in southern New Hampshire. Two days
