Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Georgia
Based on observations at 1100pm EDT, Friday May 10, 2024

Across Georgia...temperatures are near 67 degrees north, near 69 degrees central, and near 72 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, clear central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 56%, and the dew point is near 51 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 65%, and the dew point is near 57 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 87%, and the dew point is near 68 degrees. The livestock heat stress category is no stress north, no stress central, and no stress south. Winds are from the north at 14 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 75 degrees at Saint Simons and Moody AFB. The lowest temperature is 60 degrees at Dalton.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight  

Thunderstorms from last night have moved out of the area. A few
more showers or thunderstorms may redevelop this afternoon
southeast of a cold front that will sweeping through the area. 
The best chance of any redevelopment will be southeast of Macon.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday  

Thunderstorm chances will return to the region Tuesday and linger
through at least Thursday. At this time the risk of severe weather
on any given day remains low.

A deadly tornado hit the town of Snyder OK killing 87 persons. The tornado
leveled 100 homes in Snyder, and destroyed many others. The large and
violent tornado killed a total of 97 persons along its 40 miles path across
southwestern Oklahoma. Its roar could reportedly be heard up to twelve
