The pesky thunderstorm that moved across a portion of southeast 
GA coast and First Coast this afternoon and evening is slowly
weakening as of 830 PM, and expected to dissipate over the next 1-
2 hours. Otherwise, no major changes to the forecast as cool and
dry advection will continue across the area tonight. Expecting
lows generally in the 40s for the interior and low to mid 50s from
the St. Johns River towards the coast and for far southern areas.

Across Florida...temperatures are near 61 degrees north, near 68 degrees central, and near 77 degrees south. Current sky conditions are clear north, partly cloudy central, and clear south. In the north, relative humidity is near 53%, and the dew point is near 44 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 70%, and the dew point is near 58 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 50%, and the dew point is near 57 degrees. Winds are from the northwest at 5 mph north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northeast at 13 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the north at 6 mph south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 77 degrees at Miami. The lowest temperature is CLEAR degrees at Lakeland.

The worst tornado disaster of record occurred in Chicago IL as a tornado
killed 28 persons and caused three million dollars damage. (David Ludlum)
...1997...
Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of 
Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and 
Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the 
twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe 
County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man 
was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of 
the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many 
people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
