Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 100pm MDT, Friday April 19, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 72 degrees west, near 40 degrees central, and near 56 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, cloudy central, and cloudy east. In the west, relative humidity is near 18%, and the dew point is near 26 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 79%, and the dew point is near 34 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 34%, and the dew point is near 28 degrees. Winds are from the west at 8 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the south at 15 mph with gusts at 25 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 72 degrees at GRAND JUNCTION. The lowest temperature is 36 degrees at MONUMENT HILL.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For WASHINGTON County,CO

   WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FRONT RANGE MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS
6 PM THIS EVENING UNTIL 9 AM SATURDAY  

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

Rain and snow increase this afternoon, especially in the late 
afternoon-early evening timeframe. Rain changes over to snow late
this afternoon to early evening. Snow will be banded in nature 
with localized pockets of moderate snow. Snowfall amounts of 1 to
4 inches are expected for the lower elevations along the I-25 
corridor and 4 to 10 inches for the foothills and east slope 
mountains. Elsewhere, trace to 2 inches of snow are expected. 
Roads in the foothills and mountains are expected to become snow 
and slush covered tonight. For the I-25 corridor, spotty slick 
spots will be possible where the heavier snow bands occur. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Snow will gradually taper off Saturday morning, with additional
accumulations in most areas of an inch or less. Travel is expected
to be slick and hazardous in the Front Range Mountains and
Foothills where more snow falls, and a few slick spots will even
be possible in the I-25 Corridor and northeast plains. 

Drier and warmer weather will then prevail for much of the week 
ahead. 

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However,
any reports of accumulating snow will be appreciated.
