Showers will increase in coverage during the overnight hours, with the most widespread snow over the central mountains. Any snow accumulations will be light, with values around 1-3 inches. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Friday through Wednesday Critical fire weather conditions will be possible each afternoon through Sunday, with greatest certainty over the far southeast plains. Mountain snow is expected to pick up on Sunday and last through at least Tuesday. There still exists some uncertainty with the incoming system, but there is also the chance for some wintry weather across parts of the lower elevations. Ten tornadoes tore across the area, affecting the Kentucky counties of Adair, Metcalfe, Casey, Green, Larue, Marion, Hardin, Hart, Nelson, and Russell; and the Indiana counties of Scott and Jefferson. Two of the twisters produced F3 damage. A 28-year-old woman was killed in Metcalfe County as she was thrown from her destroyed mobile home. A 40-year-old man was killed when his house in Bonnieville (Hart County) was hit by one of the F3 tornadoes and blown off its foundation. This tornado injured many people when it caused several car accidents as it crossed Interstate 65.
