A few may stray onto the plains, but more likely bringing virga and brief gusts up to 30 mph. Elevated fire weather conditions expected this afternoon across portions of the Palmer Divide and Lincoln County. DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN Tuesday through Sunday Isolated to scattered showers and storms can be expected Tuesday, with the highest coverage over the mountains. Precipitation amounts will be on the light side. Mainly dry and warmer weather can then be expected Wednesday, continuing into early Thursday. Chance for showers and thunderstorms increase Thursday afternoon and evening as a weather disturbance arrives. A few stronger storms will be possible over the northeast plains. Shower and storm coverage will increase further this weekend, with a potentially stronger spring storm system moving into the area.
