Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 500pm MDT, Friday April 19, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 75 degrees west, near 34 degrees central, and near 58 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, light snow central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 15%, and the dew point is near 25 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 88%, and the dew point is near 31 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 34%, and the dew point is near 30 degrees. There is patchy fog central. Winds are from the northwest at 22 mph with gusts at 29 mph west, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the northeast at 15 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds and light snow. The wind chill is near 24 degrees central. Winds are from the east at 24 mph with gusts at 35 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 75 degrees at GRAND JUNCTION. The lowest temperature is 28 degrees at WILKERSON PASS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For KIOWA County,CO

 DAY ONE  This Afternoon and Tonight

Critical fire weather conditions are expected over the San Luis 
Valley this afternoon due to strong, gusty west to southwest 
winds and low humidity values. 

Some light snow will be possible over the central mountains, and the 
Pikes Peak region from late this afternoon into the evening hours. 
One to four inches of snow will be possible over the higher 
elevations. A dusting to an inch of snow will be possible over the
higher elevations in northern El Paso county. 

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday

Light precipitation is expected through much of Saturday, with more 
widespread light precipitation during the morning, and more 
rain and snow showers during the afternoon and evening. Snow is 
expected along the mountains, with mostly rain expected for lower 
elevations. Any snow accumulations will be minor, with around and 
less than 0.5 inch of snow expected. Isolated light showers will 
be possible Sunday through Wednesday across the region, especially
along the mountains, with precipitation chances increasing again 
Thursday for much of the area.
