.KEY MESSAGES...

- Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening,
  mainly east of a line from Sterling to Akron, including large
  hail and isolated tornadoes 

- Showers and storms become more numerous late this afternoon and
  across the northeast plains through the overnight

- Fire weather concerns east Central Colorado

- Significant snowfall likely (70-80% chance) in the mountains 
  Friday night through Saturday night, widespread rain showers 
  over the plains

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 600am MDT, Thursday April 25, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 59 degrees west, near 47 degrees central, and near 61 degrees east. Current sky conditions are fair west, fog central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 20%, and the dew point is near 18 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 93%, and the dew point is near 45 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 81%, and the dew point is near 55 degrees. Visibility is less than one mile central. Winds are from the southeast at 3 mph west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the northwest at 6 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to fog. Winds are from the southwest at 15 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 61 degrees at LAMAR. The lowest temperature is 28 degrees at WOLF CREEK PAS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For CROWLEY, OTERO County,CO

 DAY ONE  Today and Tonight

Winds gusting to 55 mph, briefly to around 60 mph especially south 
of Highway 50, and high fire danger are expected across portions of 
southern Colorado.

Additionally, there is a low risk of a strong to severe storm or two 
across the far eastern plains this afternoon into early evening, 
mainly along and east of a Haswell to Lamar line. If severe storms 
develop, hail to the size of quarters and 60 mph wind gusts would be 
possible.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Friday through Wednesday

An upper level system will start impacting our area on Friday,
lasting through the weekend. Cooler temperatures, heavy and wet
mountain snow, and showers and storms over the plains will all be
possible. 

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.

West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph. Mostly cloudy. Slight chance of thunderstorms and snow showers until midnight, then slight chance of snow showers after midnight. Lows 31 to 38. Chance of precipitation 20 percent.
