- Critical fire weather conditions over the plains through early
  evening.

- Heavy mountain snow expected tonight and Tuesday morning. 

- Strong winds to 65 mph over the eastern plains Tuesday.

Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Colorado
Based on observations at 100am MDT, Tuesday April 16, 2024

Across Colorado...temperatures are near 45 degrees west, near 49 degrees central, and near 51 degrees east. Current sky conditions are cloudy west, mostly cloudy central, and fair east. In the west, relative humidity is near 76%, and the dew point is near 38 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 37%, and the dew point is near 24 degrees. In the east, relative humidity is near 24%, and the dew point is near 16 degrees. Winds are calm west, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 9 mph central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are from the west at 17 mph east, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 58 degrees at BURLINGTON. The lowest temperature is 18 degrees at WOLF CREEK PAS and MONARCH PASS.

Hazardous Weather Outlook For CENTRAL COLORADO RIVER BASIN County,CO

 DAY ONE  Today and tonight.

A late season winter storm moves through the area beginning today and
is expected to bring moderate snow to the northern and central
mountains through tonight. Snow accumulations are expected to range 
from 5 to 10 inches by sunrise Tuesday across the Elkhead, Park, Flat
Tops, Gore and Sawatch Mountains. Gusty winds to 45 mph will result 
in areas of blowing snow reducing visibility and making travel 
difficult.


 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Tuesday through Sunday.

Snow continues over the northern and north-central Colorado mountains
through midday Tuesday before diminishing during the afternoon.
Unsettled weather continues across the northern areas as a series 
of systems pass to the north from mid week into the weekend.

 SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT  

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
