Current Agricultural Weather Conditions in Arkansas

Across Arkansas...temperatures are near 68 degrees north, near 75 degrees central, and near 75 degrees south. Current sky conditions are cloudy north, cloudy central, and cloudy south. In the north, relative humidity is near 75%, and the dew point is near 60 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 64 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 76%, and the dew point is near 67 degrees. Winds are from the south at 15 mph with gusts at 28 mph north, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the south at 17 mph with gusts at 28 mph central, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. Winds are from the southeast at 12 mph with gusts at 23 mph south, where conditions are not favorable for spraying due to strong winds. The livestock cold stress index is in the no stress category north, no stress category central, and no stress category south. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 77 degrees at Pine Bluff. The lowest temperature is 57 degrees at Bentonville.

AREA  Extreme southeast Oklahoma into west-central Arkansas.

DISCUSSION  
Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms will come to an end this afternoon
ahead of a cold front. A narrow line of showers and embedded thunderstorms
will accompany the cold frontal passage. Very limited instability will greatly
limit the severe weather threat, but isolated wind gusts to 60 miles an hour,
and possibly even a brief tornado, will be possible with this line of showers 
and storms.

South winds will continue to increase today, with some gusts over
40 miles an hour across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

fishing fleets along the coast. In Maine, the barometric pressure reached

An early season cold snap finally came to an end. Helena MT experienced 138
consecutive hours of subzero temperatures, including a reading of 29 below
zero, which surpassed by seven degrees their previous record for the month
of November. Missoula MT broke their November record by 12 degrees with a
reading of 23 below zero, and Salt Lake City UT smashed their previous
November record of zero with a reading of 14 below. Heavy snow in the Great
Basin closed Donner Pass CA, and total crop damage from the cold wave

A tornado, 100 yards in width, travelled a nearly "straight as an arrow"
27-mile path from near Rosa AL to near Albertville AL, killing three
persons. A home in the Susan Moore community in Blount County was picked up

The first of two successive snowstorms struck the northeastern U.S. The
storm produced up to 20 inches of snow in southern New Hampshire. Two days
