High pressure is now centered over the area and will slowly slide
to the east over the next days. Light winds and generally sunny
skies will prevail, with a slight warming trend over the two days.
With the dry airmass in place, temperatures will jump into the low
to mid 70s today and mid to upper 70s on Saturday. Lows tonight
will fall into the 40s for most areas. A few locally warmer areas
may remain near 50 degrees, with the cooler locations will drop to
near 40.

Across Alabama...temperatures are near 45 degrees north, near 46 degrees central, and near 53 degrees south. Current sky conditions are sunny north, sunny central, and sunny south. In the north, relative humidity is near 89%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. In the central part of the state, relative humidity is near 68%, and the dew point is near 36 degrees. In the south, relative humidity is near 66%, and the dew point is near 42 degrees. Winds are calm north, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm central, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Winds are calm south, where conditions are favorable for spraying. Based on current available observations, the highest temperature is 53 degrees at Mobile and Auburn. The lowest temperature is 39 degrees at Gadsden.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

 DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN  Saturday through Thursday.

A storm system will move into Central Alabama during the day next
Tuesday. Some storms may be severe with damaging winds up to 60 mph
across the northwest and far northern portions of Central Alabama.
